KARACHI: Workers of both Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are locked in a face-off yet again late on Friday as the election campaign in NA-246, Karachi continues.
Both parties’ workers chanted protests against each other in Karimabad, Federal B' Area, and some arguments erupted into fist fights as well.
A PTI flag was burnt and a camp was also taken down forcefully by MQM workers as police was helpless, although some workers were baton charged earlier and taken into custody.
MQM workers were outraged as they claimed that two of their workers were arrested by police unnecessarily.
MQM's Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Haider Abbas Rizvi have reached the site.
